It is said that some people were raised by wolves. Shawn was raised by bicycles (…and parents). A highly skilled mechanic, Shawn has worked in bicycle shops since he was a young boy. Shawn doesn’t only have a penchant for fixing bikes, however. In fact, he is passionate about all kinds of riding and racing. Shawn raced collegiately for NC State University (mountain, road, and cyclocross), where he was president of the cycling club and captain of the road and mountain bike teams. He’s promoted and organized races, taught numerous maintenance clinics, and wrenched for professional major races in the US and Canada. Shawn is also trained in the BG FIT method. As manager of the Bicycle Gallery, Shawn’s goal is to spread the joy of cycling and racing to the Jacksonville community. He is especially interested in developing high school and youth cycling programs, starting locally and expanding into a regional program. In addition to cycling, Shawn enjoys running and snowboarding.
Jeff loves bikes. In fact, he’s proud to say that his daily commuter bike costs (much) more than his truck. Jeff has worked in bicycle shops for 7+ years in shops all over the world including in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia. As a self-described traveling fiend, Jeff appreciates bicycles for their ability to transport him to amazing places and quench his thirst for adventure. Jeff is the “visual mastermind” behind the Bicycle Gallery. He’s a skilled photographer and videographer, having spent a year abroad studying TV and media. In his spare time, you can often find Jeff filming and editing videos and, of course, riding his bike.

Jacob is new to the biking works. But where he lacks in experience he makes up in passion. Jacob played football in high schools and College. He started on a Walmart bike and then went to the entry level specialized sirrus, Jacob got the itch and went to a carbon Specialized Roubaix, and hasn’t stopped traing since! He hopes to one day race, and is currently training for his first triathlon. Jacob also likes to lift weights and cook on his spare time.

Joe has been a trailblazer with a love for biking since he could walk. Joe found his passion for working on bikes 10 years ago, when a family friend gave him an old BMX bike. Joe completely dismantled the bike just so he could figure out how to put it back together. Joe’s friends and family know to look for him in the garage, because if he is not fixing his own bike, he’s working on a friend’s. Joe enjoys all kinds of biking, especially mountain and trail riding. His favorite areas to ride are the mountains of NC and Oregon. As the newest member of the Bicycle Gallery team, Joe brings a sincere desire to learn and a strong work ethic. In his spare time, Joe also enjoys paintball and welding.

Greg is the newest member of our Staff and a veteran BMX rider. Greg loves writing music and tuning cars in his spare time. He is an experienced mechanic that has a passion for bikes. come by the shop and introduce yourself.
